Chron.com has a power search tool by zipcode. If you have power, add your address to the list so other people can see. I will keep the list of areas below, but this link should be much better for finding out information on power.

I thought I would consolidate the responses we have had so far. I will update from other threads periodically as well.

Please reply if the areas listed below are now WITHOUT power, since I know that some areas have been on and off. Also, please continue to add areas and subdivisions.

So far we have power in Katy, in Silver Ranch, west of Grand Pkwy, south of I-10.

Thanks, that is good to hear. My family in Katy is just north of I-10 off Fry.

Power @ 1960/290 came on just before 9

Never lost power in downtown although my satellite dish is on the blitz.

Another severe wind squall is happening right now, too.

1.8 million of 2 million meters in Houston are DOWN.

Woodlands-Magnolia area - we lost power @ 3:30.

Entergy (Woodlands & East of there) has 380,000+ out and 2 major power plants down. They have already said it could take them WEEKS to get their customers up.

I live near Kirkwood and Westheimer. Power flickered four times, went out a total of 1 minute. Up and running today. Unplugged all our tvs though at the first sign of power loss, took forever to plug everythnig back in. if that's the worst case scenario, fine by me.

We do have low water pressure though.

No power in Fleetwood (Memorial between Eldrige and Hwy 6)

i've got power - barker cypress and groeschke. it flickered a few times since 6am but otherwise on. haven't really lost satellite either, amazingly. only spotty cut-outs

we lost power around 4am but it came back on around 6 am... Lost our uverse sig al though so I have to use my iPhone

My Aunt in Sugarland lost power around 10pm. Their entire wood fence is gone too.

Power on Barker-Cypress just south of 290. Went out last night around 11, back on this morning around 9:30.

We live at briar Forest and BW8, lost power last night for about 5hrs, but has been up since 3am

We're in The Woodlands, lost power at 4am, still off

Never lost power in West Houston, but for some reason I don't have running water.

Dad still has power down in Clear Lake...El Dorado at Highway 3

Never lost power at Post Oak, near 610 and the Galleria.

Power at westheimer and old farm...no cable or water. Id appreciate if one of the networks could show some damn football.

I have power in Bellaire on Newcastle.

Somehow have power in the Old 6th Ward.
