I'll be traveling from I-10 at the Beltway to Hobby Airport at 5:30 pm on Wednesday. My flight is at 7:30 pm. Will I make it to the airport on time? Which route should I take? I-10 to I-45?

Fastest may be the Beltway South to Telephone Road and turn Right or North on Telephone to the Airport. Probably three tolls from where you are.

it's a left on Telephone, then a right on Airport.

They will both be pretty close. BW8 traffic will be bad from i-10 to the ft bend tollway, then it will fly. 3 tolls.

I-10 shouldn't be that bad. 45 will be full stop.

you should be plenty okay.

if you mean BW8 on the westside, take 10 to 610 south to 45. you never really get on 45 as that's pretty much the same exit (Broadway) for the airport. i do it all the time.

I'd take beltway around to telephone...I-10 inbound to 610 can be pretty nasty, as will 45S for sure.

Yeah, 610S to 45S is at a complete stop at 5:30 p.m.

I hate that intersection. Mainly, I hate the asshats who try to avoid the line and cut in at the last second, thereby causing a longer line and a longer wait. Just get in line at the end, since you know it's going to be there. Grrrr.

West Belt...sorry for confusion. To me, east of I-45 doesn't exist since I never go over there.

this is terrible this idea... 610 will be backed up from Memorial to I-45 all the way around.

Traveling at 5:30pm and trying to get to the airport, the least risk of getting slowed by bad traffic and/or an accident is to go BW8 S., and around to Telephone, as others have suggested... I-10 sucks, 610 sucks, I-45 S sucks.

Question: I am coming from just west of Beltway 8 on I-10 (Kirkwood). Can I get on the Beltway 8 South feeder road from the I-10 Eastbound feeder road or do I have to go to Gessner, U-Turn at Gessner and then get on the Beltway 8 South feeder road? Would it be better to take Kirkwood to Memorial and then take Memorial to Beltway 8 South to miss the detour?

If you have easy access to Kirkwood I would take that south to Briar Forest or Westheimer to jump on the tollway.
