Anyone remember the chain of healthy Tex Mex joints that were in Houston in the mid 90s, I believe they only lasted about 2 or 3 years and may have originated in Dallas. They were called Zoo Zoo or Zee Zee or some such, I've done a google search and couldn't find them under those names so I don't have it right name wise. I believe there was another location across the street and down a ways from Kenneally's.
I remember one was in Bellaire, that we would frequent at lunch, at the time I worked out that way.
They emphasized healthy fresh cooking, you would go through a cafeteria type line to select your food. They had black beans, baked chips stuff like that.
Their logo was bright primary colors as I recall and had almost cartoon type characters included in the logo and the restaurants decor.
Anyone remember the them and more specifically the real name?
