Meeting my parents for dinner tomorrow night... they live in Katy, we live in the Heights. Any recommendations for places in between off of I-10 somewhere? Looking for something more casual. Thanks!

Prince's is pretty good. I think it's at Voss or Campbell.
i can't really think of anything on I-10.

Ya there isn't that much out past the loop until the beltway.

fyi, i was at carrabas last night and because the location on Voss is closed at the moment, it was at least an hour and a half wait.

There are a ton of restaurants right at the Beltway and I-10...at Memorial City mall. Perry's, Denis seafood, italian restaurant, and I think a Guadalarjas..all right next to each other. Pappasitos. Las Alamedas. Just a couple of blocks down from I-10 and Beltway is the Town and Country area ...Escalante's, ..

Denis seafood is really good too. Went there for a company lunch thing once.
There is also Pappadeux's and a Goode Seafood between Gessner and the Beltway.
I still haven't tried it, but I keep hearing that Goode Company Seafood right next to Memorial Herman Memorial City is supoosed to be very good.
Well, I think the GC seafood off Kirby is pretty good. They have a ceviche-like appetizer called campechana, that's tasty.
These are all more in Katy - There's a new Texas Roadhouse near 99. Red Lobster, TGIF's, Los Cucos at Katy Mills. Babbins, Carinos, Chili's at Mason. Landry's somewhere around there. Everywhere else I can think of closer in town has already been mentioned. Oh, there is a somewhat new little Italian restaurant in Katy, right off of I-10 that is very good - Antonia's or something like that.
There's a Texas Land and Cattle and a Carrabas near Dairy Ashford.
Another vote for Taste of Texas, especially if Dad is buying!

What about Brenner's??? - I've heard they're good and they're right around I-10 and the beltway.

What is Carrabas like? We have one here in Copperfield and we've never been. Is it comparable to anything?

The chain Carraba's is awful. If you want to go to Carraba's go to the one off Voss or Kirby

I agree. I ate at the one on I-10 and Wilcrest tonight with some people from work. I wasn't impressed with the food or service.
