Los Burritos Meat Market and Taqueria.

Also, my wife keeps raving about El Rey and Los Dos Amigos. Both on Washington

El Diferente in the Northeast corner of i-45 and Rayford road. This is a small market with a food counter. Really great food.

Is La Fiesta the place behind the sushi place right there off I-10?

For the life of me I can't remember the name of the market on Broadway in Galveston. They served some of the best food from their counter. Dive setting cheap food close to the beach life is good!!!

Spanish Flowers can no longer be considered a hole-in-the-wall (if it ever could). Nor is it good anymore.

Was thinking about asking this yesterday anyways. Wife and I are trying to find good breakfast tacos in the Garden Oaks area. Anyone have good recommendations?

Taqueria El Taco Regio on Murphy Rd (FM 1092) and Avenue E in Stafford. Their lunch menu is all 4.99, including fajitas. Just about everything I have had there is great.

La Tapatia was a staple of mine in law school. I liked it much better before the new, fancier digs.

Taqueria El Jaliciense in Texas City has always been my favorite hole in the wall place. Used to go down there a lot for work, and that place is money. Cheap and good.

Fiesta Loma Linda, on Telephone Road, off of I-45. Not a tacqueria, but the best hole-in-the-wall mexican joint in Houston. You have to get their crispy beef tacos and queso.

Hard to beat the $6 fajitas for lunch at La Tapatia

there is a place on hempstead highway between antoine and bingle, it is a taco truck on a side street behind turners hardware, it's called Marco's Taqueria, $1.50 tacos and they are great!!! one picnic table for seating.

I have to say I was disappointed in El Taco Regio. Cheap and definitely a hole in the wall, but not too good the time I went. I'm going to have to try Eduardo's, although I doubt that's too authentic. The best place I've been to in Houston is by far Tacos El Jefe on Sheldon in Channelview. That food is very authentic and very good. Since I never get over there, though, I am constantly hitting up 100% Taquito, which is overpriced but dependable.

Eaten at Spanish Flowers a few times... it's okay, but I didn't find it as overwhelming as most people had said.

Tapatia is good, but it was much better a few years ago before they did all the renovations and fancied it up. Prices have gone up and the food isn't as great as it used to be. Still not a bad little joint though.

Bacon,

Try El Tecate on Ella, across from Lowes. Great chorizo and egg, egg and ham, and a fajita beef and egg that is quite tasty.

I have also had breakfast tacos from Fiesta Taco, on 34th St. west of TC Jester. Never been there, but someone brought them to work one day. This place is supposedly only open for breakfast, so breakfast tacos are their specialty.

We have dinner at Taqueria Cancun over on Gessner about once a week. It's a small local chain, but they're all sh*thole dives. The food is good - especially the beef fajita enchiladas or cheese enchiladas.

Tamale Factory on 11th and Studewood has pretty good breakfast tacos. I would suggest adding beans and cheese to whatever you get.

I'm down for some LUPE tortilla when i'm at work. Its right around the corner. But when at home, La Hacienda on Telge just north of 290 is definitely excellent. The margaritas will floor you if you aren't careful.
