So I tried a Kobe Burger at Who's Who today for lunch. Pretty tasty, but I'm not sure if I could tell the difference between the Kobe and the regular though.

Oh and if you're in Denton, don't forget to try a Denton County Independent Hamburger. 'Dem are good.
RJ's is pretty tasty as well, although it is hard to find.

I've had the Kobe burger 2-3 times and just don't think it is that great. Plus, the fries there are marginal at best.

The Angry Dog is good, but I think that Uptown Bar & Grill's burger is better.

To: NoACDamnit... where's RJ's in Denton?

I was a fan of Texas Pickup's burgers, but the last time I needed the fix (couple years ago), the whole area was torn down and replaced by appartments.

Now if I'm in Denton and its early enough, I go to Denton Co. Hamburger on the Square.

309 W. Oak It's behind an old granary. It's TINY. Literally only two or three tables in the place, but DAMN it is GOOD.

I haven't tried the place you recommended. I will this week sometime.

Big fan of Hunkys on Cedar Springs. Interesting scenery as well.

Or for a slightly less gay burger try Press Box Grill downtown.

Don't quite know why I'm admitted this, but I too have had a Hunky's and it's freaking good.

Press Box Grill has decent hamburgers, but the reason to go there is to see the fine wool.

Try JG's, just south of 635 on Greenville Avenue. It is tucked back in a shopping center with CC's and some other crap. Very good burgers, has an atmosphere like Chicken Oil.

Try the kobe beef burger at Humperdinks. Add grilled onions to it.

I randomly had the best burger of my life the other day at Sherlocks in Arlington. It was allsome. I haven't been to every place mentioned on this thread but it was better than those places I had visited.

On a side note, I don't understand who these people are that like Al's in Arlington. It tastes like Wendy's to me.

That is all.

Good Grief...I'm gonna get slammed for my reply.

Masters in Food Science with a specialization in Meat Science and Muscle Biology from the great Texas A & M University none the less....

Steak N Shake...those mini steak burgers with a side of fries are pretty darn tasty.

As weird as this sounds...after a Friday night football game where my beloved Euless Trinity (2005 Big 5A State Champs) destoyed the opposition (bring on Carroll!!!), I met a group of friends at of all places...Don Pablo's. I was surprised how good their burger was! Then again, it was grilled (not from a flat top) and I was hungry!

But I agree with the other posters too...Snuffers on Lower Greenville is pretty tough to beat.

Let the flames begin!!!

I still haven't seen the "FW" in the original question, nor the "Arlington," "Southlake," or whatever other 'burb has been mentioned, but I digress.

Who's Who is a damn good burger. It's my favorite du jour, but that's subject to change at any time. I like their fries and love their rings. I don't get the Kobe because it tastes the same as the regular. I live three blocks from Burger House, so I eat there often. That sorta takes the "greatness" out of it. Never liked Ball's that much. Keller's is greatness. So is Jakes. Surprised to see no mention of Joe Willy's yet; pretty decent burger there.

As for burgers in the 'burbs, Country Burger in Plano is pretty damn tough to beat. And for a quick burger with great taste, I'd take Burger Street over any other fast-food joint in the nation . . . including In 'n' Out.

Okay, so I've gone on a venture to find the best burger in Dallas, here's my picks:
1. Houston's (on Preston at Northwest Hwy)
2. Burger House (on Hillcrest)
3. Chips (on Lovers)

Per D Magazine the best burger is Wingfields in South Dallas. I have yet to try it, but they swaid it was better than Adair's, Angry Dog, et al. We'll see.
