Etheridge Auto in Colleyville. Small family owned shop that will treat you right.

They're busy - usually takes a day or so to get in but they have always done a great job.

I've had some work done at Etheridge as well. I don't think they are going to be the cheapest, but I had no complaints and a lot of people recommend them.

After trying another shop that was recommended on here, I took my truck to Ethridge, and they did a great job. Thourough explanation of what was going on, and they actually came in a few hundred bucks under their estimate.

Ok, I was able to drop my truck off last Wednesday at Coppell Tire and Auto to have it diagnosed. They were able to diagnose it as one of the lifters (Cylinder 1) was showing a misfire but it was probably because it would get partially stuck when trying to shut off to just 4 cylinders. They said since all lifters were currently up, they recommended just re-programming the engine to not shut off any of the cylinders. I was quoted $700 for this late Thursday. They called back Friday and said that when they went in to re-program that my onboard computer was locked (likely from the dealership) so Shannon, the owner, called someone that he knew that specializes in engine tunes and could likely bypass the locked program. At this point he felt bad about how long it was taking and that they may need to ship off the computer to have someone unlock it so he let me take a loaner car free of charge.

I just picked it up this morning (7/14) and the total was $1529. I was happy with the service and the fact that they were able to fix it for significantly less than the dealerships and other shops quoted.
