Dealing with a situation for our small business in which we have finally discovered that our CPA failed to file 2023 and 2024 tax returns. We are talking an immense amount of negligence.

Does anyone have any recs for an attorney that can assist in pursuing our case, preferably in the DFW area?

Don't have a good rec - just want to say this sucks, and I'm sorry that you are having to deal with this.

I'd probably lean toward finding a CPA to fix this first before the lawyering part. If your CPA failed to provide services that you paid for, you might consider informing the state board.

Was it your individual returns, or 1065s or 1120s or a combo of all? Should look for a litigator that specializes in claims against CPA shops. Probably going to be difficult to find someone cost efficient though.

It was personal 1040's that got rejected, missing/incorrect 941's, and our business ones were wrong as well.
