No doubt. That complex in particular has been trash for awhile. It's a perfect post for gangs. Somewhat closed off but close to the west Plano $.double aught said:

It's funny you mention South Dallas, because, shockingly, that area is gentrifying …to a degree. Drive down Pennsylvania Ave, and you'll see a dozen new build homes worth $400k or more.ChoppinDs40 said:Texker said:No doubt. That complex in particular has been trash for awhile. Yup. Lots of dicey apartments right there along bush - that one in particular is hood.
I accidentally ended up driving down that road back in there once and I thought I had ended up in south dallas. I think a lot is section 8.

There is nothing in that article that says anything about Venezuelan gangs terrorizing a North Dallas neighborhood. Flag this crap.

The article has changed multiple times, trash publication. The original article was citing the always credible LibsofTikTok.

Is the dailymail quote from a police spokesman included fake?

Probably, MAGA fear-mongering is a real thing.Fenrir said:texAgengineer said:

Quote:
...Dallas police officials did confirm, separately, that the department is investigating gang activity in the North Dallas area linked to Tren de Aragua.
"Our department is collaborating with other agencies to address possible crimes linked to this and other gangs in our city," Dallas police said in a statement.
Quote:
The video in question was recorded in October 2023, sources told WFAA. The footage shows a man getting brutally beaten by a group of Spanish-speaking men. Gang unit officers investigated the incident and carried out enforcement at apartments in the Haverwood Lane area of North Dallas, police sources told WFAA. Police did not believe the assault was linked to gang activity.

The headline is "Venezuelan gang is terrorizing north dallas neighborhood". The quote from the dpd spokesman is that there is known Venezuelan gang activity.
The original article also had a video, that is now removed that showed a brutal fight from over 12 months ago, and claimed that was a recent Venezuelan gang attract on an innocent north dallas citizen.
This is clickbait bs at best, if you think there is a Venezuelan gang terrorizing north dallas please provide actual evidence.

Who is saying it's suddenly real? The article had a bunch of bs, including trying to claim that a year old video was a recent gang attack.
I live in north dallas, there are no Venezuelan gangs terrorizing our neighborhoods. Sorry, but this isn't the boogeyman you think it is.
You live near the apartment complex in question?Coates said:

Sounds a lot like those "caravans" that are always talked about but nobody knows if they actually exist.
The article says they stopped in a town. What happened to them? Does this actually have anything to do with the United States or is this just a local protest as the article suggests ?Decay said:TxAG#2011 said:

Nobody knows? Wanna gaslight a little harder there?

I just picked 2023 as it's not the more media-frenzied ones that made the headlines but here is a whole article about one caravan, heading through Mexico, describing thousands of people and their struggles to get through on their way to the US border. Logistics is a mess and multiple NGOs are involved, the Mexican government struggling to process it.
But sure, it might not exist at all!
