I don't deal with apartments, but this sounds like a situation in which an apartment locator might be useful - especially if you all are coming in from out of town and have a limited time to tour. I'll PM you a recommendation.

100%. Lived there for 4 years straight out of school with a college buddy of mine.

I know they're remodeled and built a ton of **** around the central hub.

My wife and I looked at The Village in 1980 right after we got married. We could not afford the $375 a month back then.

And that's one of the newer ones. If I remember right, The Lakes was the last of the ones in the first generation (late 1980s).

I lived at the Lakes from 2016-2021 and had a great experience. Around 2017 or so, around 1/3rd of the Lakes was torn down for the large redevelopment which opened in 2021 (also took over a portion of the Meadow along with the former country club site).
