From TexAgs Sponsor, Mercy Project:
Over 12 years ago, we took a leap of faith and launched a new non-profit called Mercy Project to help children trapped in slavery in the fishing industry in Ghana, Africa. We had no idea what we were doing, and we had no idea if it would work, but we knew kids shouldn't be slaves so we set out to do what we could, with what we had.
By God's grace, and with the help of so many of you along the way, there are now nearly 300 FORMER slave children who have been rescued, rehabilitated, and reintegrated back into their biological families through the work of Mercy Project. Some of our first rescued children will be starting University in Ghana soon--a miracle considering most people in their families never finished elementary school.
So today we're thankful for those almost 300 kids, for their reunited families, for their newfound freedom, for their bright futures, and for so many of you who helped us make it happen with your generous support both then and still today. Let's keep going Ags, until every boat is empty and all the children are free.
Thank you for your continued support and encouragement.
