$1,750!!?? My God concerts are insanely expensive these days. I never understand the appeal of concerts. I'm just not a concert guy. The original soundtrack is always better than a live performance and it's a hell of a lot cheaper. Good luck!
Remember when people were dumb enough to spend thousands on his last ever concert in the new Cowboys stadium.... and 100 concerts later...

I doubt many of those people are sitting here today thinking "damn we really shouldn't have gone to see George Strait live".

Not all concerts/events are priced that stupidly high but anything at Dickies is a guarantee to be stupid priced.
Why?
For Strait, because it's a legendary act that is capable of playing 100k stadiums playing a 14k arena -- in a big city that before 2019 basically never had him perform.
For other acts - there's plenty of reasonably priced stuff but on average it can be expensive simply because it's a relatively small arena in a very big city that rarely got any real touring acts. Most of us spent the last 30 years driving to Dallas to see the major acts, but now will gladly pay an extra $50 a ticket to see them down the street.

I really like George Strait. Went to see him in concert a couple of years ago in Las Vegas….around the NFR. REK and Lyle Lovett were the opening act……which I was looking forward to almost as much as I was George Strait.
Audience was packed with drunk, middle aged women that just kept yelling "we want George" while REK and Lyle played….made that part of the concert much less enjoyable. Then when George came out, they all just screeched along with the songs as he sang. Was almost unbearable….we left after a short while….very disappointed with the experience.
That sucks. Sadly between that and people who want to watch the concert through the cell phone video, the concert experience for us has basically become a "primo seats or stay at home".
