What does your average McMansion run?

Just depends on a few factors. The linear ft. of lights, height and pitch of home. To give you an idea for Aggies I'm at 1.75 per ft for the materials (C9 LED's) So you need that then the labor costs for the first year!

I finally had him do mine last year. Gaaa I don't know why I waited so long.

He already texted me about doing them again this year which I had to think about for a half a second before saying YES!

For other posters - Derek's crew does good work. They're fast and efficient and the custom cut light length with "bring your own lights" is great.

His crew also replaces any busted lights from the YoY swap out.

Question....are LED lights somewhat "shatter-proof" or are they just as bad as incandescent?

I swear every time I take down lights from higher up areas i make a stupid move and drop the line and lose at least 2 or 3 bulbs and end up picking glass shards for weeks after....currently use incandescent.....i plan to switch to LED anyways just kind of curious if they help in that regard or not....

LED lights have a regular diode of a single color. The plastic "bulb" casing is what changes the color. So if those little pieces of palstic break, you just pop another one on. The diode won't break.

Another recommendation for Derek's team. He's been doing ours since 2018 or so, and it's always a great job. Replaces bulbs each year that don't work, and has even come back a few times to touch up the work or replace bulbs that burn out within the first few days (not common but he makes it right when it happens).

We're in Prosper. I know he does Plano and Dallas.

We cover most of the metroplex ft worth, Dallas, Frisco, out east as well

We cover most of DFW. Very far south of Ft Worth and Dallas we don't cover, but have some good installers I could recommend if that falls in your area!
