How long do you want to ignore this user?
Question....I live in Parker County, outside of Azle city limits and pay county taxes only, no city taxes. Walnut Creek Water SUD sent me a bill for over $1200 this last month, I'm thinking I want/need a water well. I had thought I had to have a minimum of 2 acres to install a water well (I only have 1 acre). Someone in the water industry said they believe I am allowed to have a well on less than two acres, if it is for irrigation only. Can any water experts in the industry confirm or deny this for me?

You need to talk to the groundwater conservation district in that area.

I'm nearly positive a new well requires 2 contiguous acres in Parker, no matter the use. I would definitely clarify with the groundwater district though.

My parents had a water well put in on their property of 1/2 an acre in city limits. They found a shady contractor who built the entire well with the exception of the final pieces which were simple. He then left them instructions on how to complete it. At that time, this circumvented any legal issues of a contractor putting in the well for you.

If OP doesn't mind breaking the law he could just install a tap before the meter.
