The last two summers have shown me that I need to add risers in parts of my flowerbeds if I want to minimize the hand watering.

The two spots are in the same zone and it would take the zone from 8 to 12-14 heads. Would any of you be worried about water pressure in Dallas or Denton Co?

How big is your meter? We have a separate irrigation meter that is 1.5". Our pressure is fine.

I believe it's 1.5

You should be good. I have 18 heads on one zone, 6 are the golf course style that shoot 10 yards. Never see a drop in pressure.

Now if you have house stuff running as well.

Awesome, thanks. They're scheduled to run over night so nothing else should be on.

Most residential meters especially newer homes are 5/8x3/4. We work in the older part of Fort Worth and some of those homes have 1.5-2" meters and psi anywhere from 60-100+ psi. To do it right you need to calculate your gpm per zone. Look at each nozzle on each head and then add up the gallons. If you have a 5/8 meter we usually stay around 12-15gallons.
rainbird nozzle chart (most nozzles we use are in the mpr section) : https://www.rainbird.com/sites/default/files/media/documents/2018-11/TurfCatalog2019-SprayNozzles.pdf

Not very many people have 1.5 inch meters but if you do have one then you could run your entire property on it. I have a 1 inch meter with 112 psi and I have 28 MP3000s on one zone and then 14 rotors on another one and I can run them together. You could try running 2 zones at once and if they both run with pressure you should be good to go. Easiest way to do it without calculations and without knowing your pipe size on laterals.
