Based on the Germany and England shows prior the setlists will likely be the same selections.

Going on Friday with my 21 YO son. This will be our third show together. I also saw them twice in the early 90s.

Going with an Ag who grew up in Dallas, flying in from Denver.

Will be my 13th and 14th shows over a 29 year span (almost to the day, 8/7/94). First time in Dallas (6x Houston, 1x S.A., 1x Denver, 4x SF)
Saw Pantera in 97 and 2000. Totally stoked to see them, and not at all in the 'not pantera' camp BS.

Staying at the springhill suites arlington north on friday night... I chose it for the free breakfast buffet! Plus I have 4pm checkout, in case we're hurting pretty bad that day.

Saw the MTF shows with no repeat.. man I really like the format. With such a back catalog, it really makes sense.
Hoping to check off at least one that I haven't seen before (not counting the new album).
There are 2 songs from each of KEA, RTL and MOP I haven't seen, 5 from AJFA, 4 from black, and 16 from R/RL.., 3 from DM and 6 from HTSD

I'm hopeful I'll get at least one. Considering the theater release, I'm hoping they debut a new R/RL song like they did at MTF.

I'm at the Sheraton right across 30 from there. Got two nights and hitting the Rangers game Saturday afternoon.

Hell I live in McKinney and booked a hotel for this thing lol. I'm at a Spring Hill Suites too, but it's about 5 minutes north on 380 so not the one you are at. It was free with my Bonvoy Points and I didn't want to mess with a 45 minute Uber ride or parking so we're slumming it and I'm actually excited about it.

Didn't use my free chase credit card night since that is up to 35k, which I can use at gaylord rockies

Ahh.. yeh I did it back in Feb. I've done a two metallica show weekend a few times now, so I know that a hotel close by the first night is a must, so I didn't wait very long.

Hot damn what a small world!
Well I'll be around the whole weekend.. def. gonna look for a place with a nice selection of local beers.

On tap in downtown Arlington is looking pretty promising! no food though it appears.

Highly recommend Texas Live. It's made such a massive difference to boozing in that area. There's like 8 bars/restaurants in one with a central area that kind of has a sports book feel. That's where my crew will be before and after the show Friday.

We have early entry. Might make the club party at j Gilligans on one of the days but may have to just go into stadium for my early package. It will be too hot to post up outside.

Early entry check in is at 230 and closes at 330 so I'll have to be there by at latest 315ish. Might do Texas live one day…

Apparently, both shows will be broadcasted worldwide. Sounds like we're all going to be movie stars. Usually the sound guys are on there a game and stuff like this.
