My lawn got destroyed by the drought / freeze and a busted sprinkler I didn't know I had.

My old St Augustine is completely gone for all practical purposes in am 1800 sf back yard. I had a guy teed up this spring to put down Tiff Tuff or Celebration Bermuda, but he ghosted me after several weeks of follow up.

Realistically too late for any real grass, but looking for any help. We also want to look into converting a 12x12ish space off the porch to a pergola area or similar to put the space to better use, so the project could grow in scope.

It's definitely not too late to resod St Augustine, just needs max water. It's probably your cheapest and lowest maintenance option to sod in DFW. My St. Augustine loves this heat with a little shade.

Are you sure you didn't lose the yard to take all root rot? That got many DFW lawns this year. Its tough to lose St Augustine to drought if you care at all about it.
