Billionaire Robert Kraft, owner of the Patriots, was going to a $60 rub & tug in a strip mall.

Forgot about that. Does that mean Gillette isn't the best a man can get afterall?
For Kraft and some of the others like them, its a part of their narcissistic personality that both led them to be billionaires whilst simultaneously believing money and power means rules do not apply.

With that, Kraft would never have considered getting caught and just did whatever the f he wanted, probably still does.

He was acquitted (or it didn't go to trial…whichever), so he was kind of right.

You are surprised that horny men would do something stupid? You're giving these arrested men way too much credit.

The only thing less surprising would be the Feds setting this up to fit a narrative and to make themselves look good.

No trafficking. No prostitutes. Cops posing as prostitutes.

Basically men willing to pay for sex with a consenting adult. I don't mean to defend those in this situation but some of these men will have their life's and families life's temporarily ruined for a crime that is legal in Nevada.

That's the kind of progressive Texas I can get behind.

Sex, weed and gambling keeps the criminal element occupied in legal rackets.

Within minutes of posting the ads, we were getting contacted by potential johns that wanted to purchase commercial sex from what they thought was a commercial sex worker. Some guys would schedule dates for the next day, some guys were showing up within 15, 20 minutes of agreeing to sex for money," he explained.

15 minutes. Damn.

I would annoyed if I was staying in a nice/decently nice hotel and cops were using it as a sting location with all kinds of men coming in. I assume they have plenty of law enforcement to keep something from happening, but no telling what a desperate guy about to get arrested will do. Keep this kind of stuff at the hourly motels.

Seriously if two or more legal aged consenting g adults want to exchange money for sex who cares. What a waste of tax dollars

It not a popular position, but I support legalizing prostitution money for sex.

At some point I wonder if the pimps have their own lobbying union to keep prostitution illegal in the US.

Meanwhile, Soros funds an NGO for the workers in other countries. Being on the same side of an argument as Soros may have me rethinking my current position.

Quote:

During a trip to Cambodia in the summer of 2015 I came across a well-funded NGO that purported to run the largest union of "sex workers" in Southeast Asia. In Phnom Penh, I had arranged to meet a group of women who were, I was told, members of the "sex workers" union that had been founded by the Women's Network for Unity (WNU). The WNU, which received funding by the Open Society Foundation, a multibillion-dollar fund set up by the investor George Soros, has a clear pro-prostitution agenda.

The only issue I have is that many prostitutes are trafficked against their will. Legalization and licensing will help IMO, but it isn't totally victimless.

Legalizing would almost certainly reduce the human sex trafficking part.

My problem is that there is an equally or more perverted cop on the other side of the keyboard posing as these hookers.

This is a common argument but I don't think it necessarily holds true. Look into trafficking in The Netherlands. It's among the worst in the world but prostitution is legalized.

I've got no problem setting up a sting where law enforcement will bust those running a prostitution ring trafficking people against their will. In fact, I'd help in any way I could with that. However, this seems to be one where there were no actual prostitutes, hence no one was actually being trafficked. Yet, the feds claim sex trafficking arrests by busting those using the services.

I'm not defending those breaking the law, but I'm seriously against law enforcement setting up a sting that appears to be focused on sex trafficking when it does no such thing. This is a PR move only. Good lawyers may get these cases kicked. I hope they do.

Law enforcement puts together these stings with no victims and then publishes articles in all major papers to basically tarnish the lives of the accused.

I have a friend (middle aged man not married and no kids) who went to a Casino and decided to find some fun. He landed in this trap and got zip tied and booked then released.

They made him think it was no big deal so he went on with his life. About a month later a news article comes out in a major paper in our area with "19 men arrested in sex trafficking bust". Now realize that all he did was think he was getting a massage with a happy ending.

The next day someone posted the article on our resident facebook page. With the limited details, the women went wild claiming that he was convicted of sex trafficking and then even assumed it was related to child porn. He had a very successful business running a child sports program for our city in addition to other cities around the area.

Within days, he lost all of his contracts. After a week, he had gone from over 200 clients to zero all because everyone thought he was involved in a child sex trafficking scheme when in fact he thought he was getting a rub and tug (but the article headline made people assume the worst).

Two years later, he had everything expunged and all it really ended up to do was give an attorney thousands of dollars and he received basically a misdemeanor ticket that was eventually erased from his record.

He has recovered some as this was 3 years ago but he never regained what he lost for his business.

Gotta admit I have qualms about these types of stings. Literally, no victims at all.

So did he find the fun or did they find him? Wouldn't the later be entrapment?

It's no surprise to be sitting at a bar in a casino in Vegas and get approached by a lady of the night. I've had it happen multiple times. One time was even with my wife.

No excuses here. It's all about the methods. It happens a lot where police stings are created and then they use the newspaper to tarnish and punish people without a trial or them having the ability to respond - all for a setup in a victimless scenario and all for promotion of the leaders of the police organization…

I don't know the details as I never asked. I believe he was dumb enough to answer an ad. Whatever the case, he ended up paying a fee, going to a class and then it was fully expunged after a year of getting into no trouble.

Whereas I despise stings that entrap adults answering ads from adults, I completely support stings against solicitation of children or child porn. However if you notice, some of the pictures are just of solicitation and do not relate to child porn. This is my biggest problem as the average reader sees the headline and looks at the pictures only. This is exactly what happened to my Friend who got lumped into a "major sex trafficking" sting just because one of the 19 people arrested was charged with something other than just online solicitation of adult services.
