Howdy. I'm looking for fine dining recs in and around Las Colinas for this weekend. As always, thanks for your help.
How did you like living in Hackberry Creek neighborhood? I have some friends moving from Chicago and that neighborhood is on their list. What is the school situation like?Yesterday said:
Cool River was nice but it closed down after Covid. The Ranch is more of a bar atmosphere but it is fun. There's really not a whole lot. Maybe Pappa's Steak House down North West Highway. Or there's always 4 Seasons.
Lived in Hackberry Creek for 8 years. Lots of great chain restaurants but not a whole lot of Fine Dining.

Hugo's.
This X3. Hugo's Invitados is incredible. Just don't expect Tex-Mex - it is more upscale authentic Mexican cuisine.J.P. 03 said:Aries said:

This is the correct answer.
They actually were building that McDonalds about the time that movie came out. Was interning a few blocks from there at the time.double aught said:

We loved it. Great neighborhood for kids and golf. Super convenient to nearly everything but feels like a little slice of seclusion. Elementary school is excellent after that it's pretty blah which is why most people with kids in that neighborhood end up private or move to Coppell. Still have a lot of friends there.

+1 for The Ranch.
Really good food and drinks and atmosphere.
Had a braised rib with parpadelle pasta that was incredible.Zombie Jon Snow said:Saxsoon said:

Whiskey Cake one of my favorites in the area - the OMG 2.0 burger is amazing. Also the entree Crispy Chicken and Spinach salad with pecans is really great as well. the Local Board appetizer is always interesting and great.
So much whiskey you can't believe it, cool atmosphere, all fresh made in house farm to table.

Old Restaurant Row around NW Highway and 35E has Pappas Bros and a few other good options.
The houses there used to have awful foundation issues if I recall, I imagine most all have had piers by now, but would give me pause before buying.murphyag said:How did you like living in Hackberry Creek neighborhood?
