Is there a place in DFW to buy jerky from behind the counter similar to Woodys or Buc-ces?

There are a couple of Bucees in the Metroplex and there used to be a Beef Jerky Outlet in Garland but it looks like Covid took it out.

So there is an excellent jersey store in Mansfield called Texas Slabs. They make all their own jerky on premises. They do vacuum bag set amounts for sale.

Check out SAAP Lao. Their Jerkey is Amazing. And it's made locally here in DFW.

Excellent. I forgot to mention that when my nephew was deployed to Iraq and Afghanistan, the owner would vacuum pack the extra pieces from each run (too small to bag for sale), vacuum pack them and give them to me to ship over. The Hot jerky is some of the hottest stuff you'll ever eat - my nephew said he and his XO could only eat abut two pieces a day.

There is a Butcher at the Dallas Farmers Market who sells jerky. I've never had it though, so this reply probably isn't as helpful as I originally intended

Texas Slabs is awesome. Been buying there for years. The sweet & spicy is my favorite.
