After 15+ years in East Dallas, we decided to leave the city and go north of the wall. Looking for a new primary care doc, relaxed dentist that doesn't want to sell deep cleanings, and any other good recs - need a new housekeeper, plumber, cleaners, liquor store, restaurants, I'll take them all. TIA, /username no longer checks out.

Only been here 3 years but love it so far. My recommendations but there are other good choices as well:

Prosper's Finest - AC and heat
Crown plumbing
Liquor stores - we just got this approved last fall so haven't been to any. I usually just make the trek to total wine in plano.
Sprinklers - Digital Rain (Celina)
Diamond Dry Cleaners (no complaints, haven't tried many others in the area)

Restaurants - I like Lucy's on the square, Tender smokehouse, The Gin as some of the local eats. there are plenty more. plenty close to Hutchin's BBQ now too. we are getting Gloria's this fall so that will be a new one for my list.

Groceries - I am growing tired of Kroger in Prosper. I go to Market street at El Dorado when i have more time and when HEB is built in Frisco at Legacy will probably get there once a month.

its nice going to tractor supply or Ace hardware in Celina to avoid some of the box store crowds.

i'll try to edit my post if i think of more things to add.

I use an independent guy for sprinkler repair and maintenance, he seems to be able to get to jobs everywhere. Doesn't communicate so great, but when he shows up he works hard and gets the job done right. His name is Frank. 469-671-7128 Text him

Food in Prosper is chain food, except for the Gin. Best mom and pop places are in Celina on the square. Gentle Creek CC usually has pretty good food, and it's about to get better with Arcis buying it since the plan is for them to mirror what they serve at Cowboys Golf Club. . Before the new shopping centers started popping up, it was well worth a social membership just to have access to good food without a wait every time. Note: now is not the time to join for just a social membership as the clubhouse is still destroyed from the freeze and I've heard 12 months to get things fixed up after the sale.

I use LawnTech for the yard but my guy from Frisco followed me to Prosper for mowing, landscape, etc, and now everyone on my street issues him. Great work and great prices.

Collin County Sprinklers when needed.

We usually hit Market Street for more quality items (fish, steaks, veggies), and use Kroger for the staples.

Not sure on the doc or dentist. I still use my old ones in Plano.

I'll buy you a beer at the Gin and give you the low down on most everything else.

Brass Tap in Prosper was good when the wife and I tried it. Crowded but it was bingo night, which we didn't know, but it was fun!

Sabaidee in Prosper for good Lao/Thai food, Hibachi Master is a food truck with typical hibachi and fried rice for half the price of restaurants. My wife and I both started teaching in PISD last year and we love it.

Welcome to the hood. You definitely saw my wife at convocation. Lol
