Wife and I looking to take 3 & 4 year old boys somewhere cool on spring break. I realize we're getting a pretty late start on this. Any ideas where to look? RV is long and tall which makes it even harder to find spots. Thanks for any ideas.

State parks will most likely be booked, but we enjoyed dinosaur valley in glen rose. Have also heard good things about mineral wells state park.

Mitchell RV Park in Perrin, TX. It is out in BFE but good.

I took family there twice last year and we all loved it. Booked up but definitely going to try to get out there Halloween for the trick or treating again. Really cool place!

I think you can go to reserve America and just put in "Texas" and the dates you want and see what is available. For spring break this year you may need to be more flexible. Good luck and have fun!

Thanks. Great concept but unfortunately it doesn't allow to add other filters in there like RV, 50 amp, water/sewer, etc. Wish they did though because it would be nice to be able to search by dates and show availability! Thanks again.

Anyone gone to the place out near Glen Rose?.. Cresent Moon or something? right there on the Brazos.

Glen Rose, but the state park is tough to get a reservation for. Not many RV sites.

Edit: Also check out Oakdale Park in Glen Rose if the state park is booked. We've stayed there and enjoyed it. You can stay there and drive to the state park during the day.
