Bought an offset smoker this summer and finally have time to use it. Purchasing wood from the big box stores is getting expensive and you don't get a lot! Anyone kniw where I could buy wood like post oak or hickory a quarter or more cord at a time?

Currently live north of Dallas but willing to drive wherever.

Check Craigslist.

Arnold's in Irving. They are on Beltline just north of Rock Island. They sell to a lot of bbq joints and have a large inventory.

You will find many.many sellers on Craigslist who will deliver right to your house, at least for oak.

I found a guy on Cragslist that lives near Arapaho and 75...sold just about every type of wood but had a ton of post oak.
