Right, that's where the wheelchairs come from. Anything on Forest from Shepard to Skillman is a section 8/DHA failure.

Shipping containers used as living units is less than an ideal solution for just about everyone. I wish architects and the collective design world would ease up on their love affair with containers.
There are much better examples that they could have and should have used as examples of well designed affordable housing.
I mean, it's no Highland Park, but if you think Forest & Greenville is truly "crap" then you are pretty sheltered.akaggie05 said:
That intersection and surrounding area has been a piece of crap for as long as I can remember. Everyone up in arms about the area going downhill because of some Section 8 must be thinking of a different hood.
You do know who spearheaded getting the 635E project going after LtGov Dan with his lapdog Huffins scuttled it, right? AIn't nobody perfect, but Adam works EXTREMELY hard for D10 and gets TONS done.Bob Knights Liver said:
If McGough pulls another "I fought it but couldn't do anything about it" then he needs to be replaced next election. I've been disappointed in his effectiveness fighting for his constituents. I think he seems like a good guy, but if he can't get things done then we deserve someone who can.

That's the only reason I venture over to that area.
I agree. We always avoided that area when we lived in East Dallas and I say this as someone who lived next door to the Barrio and had a Section 8 (or damn close to it) apt complex in the middle of our neighborhood.akaggie05 said:
