Have met many folks that live in Lake Highlands and they love the area. If my work was in Richardson, I would definitely look there and JJ Pearce area.

If you decide on LH, hit up one of us for a realtor recommendation. Having someone in the area is key.

If you decide further north, Cody is a good dude.

Grew up in Coppell. Sister just bought house in Richardson. Had a ton of buddies come out of Pearce in college. I think (like most else on the board) that you should look in Richardson.

Depends on where your jobs are. If you are trying to stay local and need a good ISD, Plano and Coppell are excellent. If you want to be closer to Fort Worth, Southlake and Grapevine/Colleyville. If you want any stats on schools or home values, feel free to message me!

That would be a ****ing miserable commute to Richardson.

Recently received a job offer in Richardson. Looking for insight on the best places to live in the area. Preferably within a 30 minute commute.
The wife likes Coppell and The Colony but we don't know a lot about the area.

Any suggestions for good places for a young family to live?

Maybe try renting in Richardson? I'm not sure which schools the house is zoned for, but an opportunity on TexAgs just got posted...

That would be zoned to North for Junior High and Pearce for high school. Elementary school would depend on which side of Campbell the house is on, I think.

If you're just off George Bush we absolutely love the north side of Rockwall. Great schools, amazing community, small town feel with city amenities and access to GWB and 30, low crime, lake access. I've been very pleased and I grew up in the JJ Pearce district (in Dallas but Richardson schools). Definitely worth checking out IF the commute works.
