This is for a really old separate, wall mounted oven at my mom's house. She had a gas leak last week, and the oven is suspected as the culprit, but the valve to turn off the gas to it is located behind the appliance on the wall it is mounted to. The gas to the whole house is turned off right now. I actually called a plumber first, and they took off the door to the oven, but said they couldn't get the rest of the assembly apart. I don't know if they were just afraid they'd break it and get blamed, or what. I am hoping an appliance guy can come in and take the oven all the way out, and at least turn the valve off so that we can call the gas company back to pressure test again and see if that solved the problem, or if the issue is a bigger one, like a problem with the gas service line. Do you guys have any recommendations of a good company?
