We're moving and Coserv served our old home. We do not have that option anymore. They charged 9.5 center per kWh with no distribution fee. Looking for some similar rates. I've been reading up on powertochoose.com but it's hard to tell what my bill is going to be like.

check the energy ogre thread on the home improvement board.

if you're not comfortable with that, pick a 6 monthish plan on a locked rate with powertochoose, and I think you should be good.

Other than the fact that gas and electric will be separated, I think you will like the change. You will be able to do much better than 9.5 cents.

I recommend energy ogre. Cut my bill in half and I thought I had done pretty well with power to chose. You should read through the thread.

+1 on Energy Ogre. Takes a lot of the guesswork out of using PowerToChoose.

If you put in the effort you'll get a cheap enough rate to match or beat energy ogre + their cost. I decided it was no longer worth the effort.
