I live a block north of Hwy 66, and about 100 yds east of the "rockwall" of Rockwall. I had a front row seat to watch it come across Dalrock, then 66. I am not sure what it hit right before it got to the lake but there was a big plume for several minutes. It hit the lake and disappeared. When it hit those large power lines at 66 was like the 4th of July.
As the clouds came across this hill above the lake I could not find any rotation. It died at the lake.
When the tornado whistles started, I walked out to see if I could see anything and left my phone in the house. My Panhandle boy self could not pull myself away from watching it to go get my phone. I have seen many tornados in my life, and this one was one of the biggest.
