Fastest way. Yes OSR sucks but you're only on it for 14 miles.

39 is a drag strip through there.

Once on 21, you've got about 15 miles of 2 lane, maybe less.

OSR through Normangee and pay homage to Joseph Jones.

I don't know what you guys are smoking. Route through Normangee sucks.

I know Joe Jones is from Normangee, but I typically pay homage to Joey V. between Normangee and North Zulch.

Honestly depends on when I'm traveling.

I don't like OSR at night so I usually go 45-21-6. On the way home I will usually go around Madisonville just to avoid the stop lights. So 6-21-39-OSR-45.

Thanks. This worked great for me. Got off late - 2:35. I was in the parking lot at 5:40. Made it in time for Spirit. Didn't think I had a chance with State Fair traffic and game traffic.

Waze was also a good recommendation. Very helpful.

Came back on 79. It was good too, that time of night.

OSR is bad if you have only driven on city roads your whole life but it's not bad for a country road. Also

First time to stop at Woody's, my wife is 36 weeks pregnant and we stop every 30 minutes to pee, and that place great. Bathrooms = supper clean. I got little bbq sandwich, grabbed some pickled jalapenos and the dog got to pee as well. Overall, great place to stop to avoid the mess around Bucees.

I take the 45-79-39-21 route, and I hit a deer last Friday on 39 just after Jewett. Be careful out there

Hopefully no one hurt and not too much damage to your vehicle. I hit one in Colorado a couple of years ago and it scared the S#!T outta me.

I've been wondering if that route had deer to watch out for, being that Normangee is the "Deerest Town in Texas".
