Check out Prince of Peace Catholic school in southern Plano off Plano Pkwy. I've been told to avoid All Saints. South of 635 I'd look into St. Rita's. St. Monica's is also south of 635. Heard class sizes are big there and school is cliquey if that bothers you.

North Dalllas - St Rita is around Forest/inwood area. St. Monica around Walnut Hill/Midway. Both schools send a lot of kids to Jesuit/Ursuline. if you venture toward Preston Hollow area you have Christ the King. Great schools.

Polish, any idea what the K and 1st grade class sizes are at St Thomas Aquinas? Do they have an after school program?

We're moving further south to that area so we targeted schools in the vicinity.

Really don't like Patrick as a parish but heard the school is good.

Oh and polish apologies for the election. I thought you had it.

I got married and attend at STA so that's where we send our kids eventhough Pats is closer to our home. Pats is great by all accounts.

My daughter is in a PreK 4 class with 11 other kids. I think there are a lot of K classes and the sizes are 20 or so if I remember correctly. It thins out as the kids progress because everyone wants to start out there.

Everything has been great so far at STA.

have a kiddo at St Paul the Apostle in Richardson(Spring Valley/75). Been a great experience for her and was highly recommended by many of the folks we talked to when asking the same questions.

We were in the all saints little saints program a couple years ago. We ended up leaving and so did many of the other kids. Couple teachers left as well. Don't know reasons for everyone else but it was cost for us relative the experience.

Not a catholic school but a school you might be interested in.

Founders classical academy in Lewisville. Students learn/read a lot more classic literature, learn Latin, and take courses like rhetoric, logic, western civ, etc.

My Daughter went to St. Mark in Plano. Good cross section of both ethnic and economics. She is now a Sophomore at Ursuline. St. Pauls in Richardson is very good, although smaller. If I was going to rank them, based on my limited knowledge, you can't go wrong with: St. Rita, St. Monica, St. Paul, Prince of Peace, St. Mark, Christ the King. Depends on where you live. St. Monica, St. Paul and St. Mark have a better cross section of students (borders on less affluent areas). You don't feel as much pressure on "keeping up with the Jones's."

I have heard that Cistercian in Irving has really strong academics.

I have also heard that St Marks and Jesuit are really good academically.

I know people that send kids to Christ the King and Prince of Peace and they seem to like it.

The St. Mark's founders decided to make the school nonsectarian, with nondenominational Chapel services led by an ordained Episcopalian Chaplain.

So I guess that is not really Catholic . . .
