A buddy of mine is about to go through a divorce. Luckily, they don't have kids. He is still worried because he does make a good living, and while there has been no cheating, he e thinks the divorce might get nasty.

Any recommendations?

You say Dallas area. But does your friend live in Dallas County, or another county? That controls where the case will be filed and he'll really want a lawyer that practices, if not exclusively, in that county a lot (so he/she knows the judges, other lawyers, court staff, etc.).

My father-in-law, Rick Robertson, is the managing partner at the Plano office for Koons Fuller. He's really good and was just voted the Go-To Family lawyer for Texas. He works primarily in Collin County though, but can do other areas.

Another recommendation for KoonsFuller.
