There is already an H E B in Burleson and Granbury. I shop at the store in Burleson quite frequently.

It's probably years away, but the sooner they open in Frisco, the better. I agree...I am tired of dealing with Tom Thumb and Krogers.

Don't understand the fascination with HEB...sure they're pretty nice and slightly cheaper than Kroger/Tom Thumb, but every single one I've ever stepped foot into is an absolute clustereff. Maybe it'll be different up here, but I'd gladly spend 5-10 bucks extra to avoid the crowds.

You realize that they wont build the infrastructure and distribution network up this way to only build 2 stores, right?

I imagine every retail center being built right now has had discussions with HEB to be their anchor.

These will be the first of many to come.

Yes I do realize this Cranium, but two plots in the burbs still means a long, long time before one opens near me. You title made it seem like expansion was further along

I don't see how "HEB expanding to DFW" is misleading.

And it makes sense. Land in the burbs (ESP south or near I30) is considerably cheaper.

I would be shocked if PC got one before most burbs and east Dallas.

I live off Boat Club in NW Fort Worth...i sure hope they get a store going off Bailey Boswell! I love HEB and have had to deal with Kroger, Albertsons, Walmart etc. HEB for me takes the best pieces of each of those stores and puts them all together...even if it is a crowded motha.

They are still a few years away from a big push, but the plans are in the works. They learned some tough lessons in Houston and aren't going to repeat the same mistakes in the Metro. But they are coming.

Central Market is similar but not the same. Of course I've never been in a nice HEB so I really don't know. I've only been in ghetto HEBs.
