My favorite is North Texas Golf Center on Walnut Hill, west of 35. Just take Northwest HWY west to 35 N, then exit Walnut Hill and go left. You will think you are going down a dead-end road to the city dump or something but you will end up at the range.
It's not the nicest but I think for the price is the best. It's a grass range, rarely crowded, and their chipping and putting greens are free to use. There is also a 9 hole par 3 if you want to mix things up. They are short though, like a 56 degree short. They do a return visitor card that will get you a free bucket and you can BYOB. I usually go at least once a week.
Golden Bear on Trinity Mills west of the Tollway is nicer, but it can be more crowded, more expensive and you must be a member to use the chipping greens.
I haven't been to the new Hank Haney but it looks kind of small driving by and he has enough money already.
