I'd recommend Sunnyvale as well, they definitely won't be cheap but you get what you pay for.

I'm starting to get into the fencing business as a part time/weekend job. I have done 3-4 for family and friends and everyone has been happy so far.

Is your buddy just needing his fence and all the post, or just the pickets? I try to stay away from post, since I am just a 1 man crew.

I called some other companies in DFW and they were charging 2-3x the amount I was charging.

I like Sunnyvale I posted above because it looks like an actual company; not some guy working out of the back of his truck (see below).

As for companies to stay away from, I used one called Reliable Fence that was recommended on here about 2 years ago, and the fence has not held up well at all. I had to call them out about 3 months after install because the stain looked terrible, and they said they only warrantied install, not materials, and they considered the stain a material. It looks like they may have changed their name to Texas Fence Masters.

The above poster posted the link to Blackwell Fencing. We used them in October 2009 and our fence is AWESOME! We get compliments on it all the time...lol. Gary Blackwell is the owner and he knows his stuff and was great to work with. Excellent quality. They have done several of the houses in our neighborhood now too.

Precision Fencing does awesome work. They did our fence and we love it. They are also aggie owned and operated. Call the owner, Ryan Curtis, for an estimate 817-819-2678.

Elite Custom Fence out of Flower Mound did ours. Not the cheapest, but they did fantastic work.

If you're looking for a fence company in Dallas, Future Outdoors is a good bet. It deals mostly in vinyl fencing and vinyl shade structures etc.

A&A Fence and Concrete out of arlington just did ours. I got about 7 bids and went and looked at jobs done by the 3 finalists. These guys are at a great price and great quality. They also did some rock work for us putting some Austin ringers around a few trees and a flower bed liner.

For anyone still looking just had my fence done by Kodiak Fence Co and definitely recommend them. Professional crew, solid work, fair price.
