Does anyone know of any good wedding venues in the Fort Worth area? We are looking for something somewhat reasonably priced for about 250-300 guests. All the magazines have the same venues and we are looking for some more ideas. Any suggestions would be appreciated!

I'm in the wedding industry. I did a wedding at the Petroleum Club which was really cool.. It was high up overlooking the city. Kind of small though, might not work for you. Also, my favorite wedding I've ever done was at the Fort Worth Botanical Gardens. It was gorgeous there, if you're an ourdoorsy kind of person.

I'm participating in a wedding at the Botanic Garden in September, it's a nice place and very reasonably priced from what I have seen.

Budget?

Stockyards station has a really cool room that will fit that many. Also try river ranch.

I believe my fiancé is going to check out the Ashton Depot sometime next week. As for the Petroleum Club…that sounds kinda pricey. PLUS, I have a lot more on my side of the family and we might need a little more room

Thanks for all the help everyone. Anymore ideas would be greatly appreciated!

I would have loved to have had our reception at the Ashton Depot. However, they never responded to my emails. I think they are pricey too.

Two other places that will handle your capacity that let you bring in your own catering (which can save a ton):

YWCA downtown - normally booked about a year out

T&P Building Waiting Room (lobby): http://www.trinityrailwayexpress.org/tandpstation.html

i'm getting married at the YWCA in march, and it's true they're booked a year out in most cases.

they also can't seat more than 200

I see a lot of receptions in the T&P Lobby. In the warmer months its just about every weekend. Plus now that the T&P Tavern is open just outside the lobby, if the reception sux the guests have a built-in Plan B. I think they would appreciate the option.

Oh, i went to a wedding at the train depot down by the convention center. i can't remember the name of it now, but it was over 200 people and it was really nice.

T&P is going to less than 250 though. I would advise going over your guest list. We originally thought 250 but in reality it was about 175 and that opened up more options.

We had ours at the Maddox Muse Center across the street from Bass Hall. They have two different rooms to choose from, one is at street level and the other is below street level. Great Venue and great people to work with

The Omni opens next week.

If you need a block of sleeping rooms for out of town guest, let me know. I'd be glad to assist you in getting a good rate.

We could also do the reception.
