I spent yesterday looking at homes in the Travis Ranch development on the west side of Forney.

Does anyone currently live there and would like to share their opinion? Anyone dealt with Kimball Hill Homes before, good/bad experiences?

Since I work in Downtown Dallas it seems like the commute would be easier than anything within a similar price range along the 75 and 35E corridor. FYI, I am looking at a price range of 140 to 160K.

Any suggestions on other areas to look that are within a 30 to 45 min driving time to Downtown? I would prefer newer home developments, but I may start looking at foreclosure homes soon.

Any older threads that may have some answers?

Why so far away?

We moved to Forney a year ago and love it. My wife drives to Downtown Dallas and traffic is not bad, it takes about 30 min avg to get downtown.

We are building a house in Forney in Grayhawk with Megatel Homes. We looked at tons of homes and Megatel had by far the best quality. I have been extremely impressed with the service, professionalism, and quality they have provided. I definitely recommend them!

I will also be commuting to downtown - this subdivision is a good location because you can also take 20/175 into downtown.

I live in Villages of Fox Hollow. Forney is great and getting better every day. Only 22 miles from downtown!
