I live in McKinney and just started storing my boat in Princeton. The closet boat ramp is Ticky Creek, its nice, but it costs money.

Any recommendations on other good boat ramps or good places on the lake to wakeboard? I have a map that shows where the stumps are, just looking for any good spots someone might know of.

There is a ramp Eldorado East to CR 544 around airport about 8 miles or so to Bratonia Park. There is also a Model Airplane flying club site there. It is pretty open to ride there. That is about the only part of the lake I have been on. I fish and it is pretty bad fishing there. If you have a map than maybe you can get somewhere from there. And the ramp was free last time I was there a year ago or so.

Brockdale park is free. Bratonia is pretty stumpy.

That lake sucks. There is absolutely nothing on that lake.

That lake is OK for hunting/fishing, but for skiing/wakeboarding, pack it up and head south to Ray

agreed. you could make an interesting slalom course with all the dead trees, but you'd probably just end up getting impaled or suffering a massive head injury.

I was actually able to find a few stump free stretches by Ticky Creek where there's smooth water, plenty of space to go tubing also

There's a couple coves on Lake Tawokoni that I used to go to in high school, but its over an hour drive for me now

Be sure to buy some meth while you're out there. Ticky Creek Park is a popular place for cooking it with the "east county" types.
