I need a great idea for a date with my girlfriend and I. She is having a really rough time with things going on in her life and I want to take her on a nice date. Any ideas on what I should do? Thanks

You should wait until it's a nice day, then go do something outside. Take a walk around the lake, go on a picnic, watch the sunset (just bring the bugspray). Being outside on nice days helps to increase my happiness when I'm feeling down. I think something well thought out shows that you really appreciate her. Good Luck!

We did the Arboretum on Sunday when the weather was gorgeous.

I am thinking a nice picnic outside with some sandwiches and some wine. Then maybe going and getting a couple's massage or something. She has been under a lot of stress and I am sure a massage would help.

Take her to downtown Ft. Worth. There is a place close to downtown called The Italian Inn...has great food and prices are pretty good. They have booths with doors on them so it's very private and they also have a piano player. But it is also open mic, so if you wanted to be romantic, you could pick a song from their list and have the piano player play the song while you sing it to her.

I would say:

Start off with flowers. Grab a taxi to a 4 star dinner and music at a place like Sambuca; or maybe a restaurant then a low key bar. Finally maybe a little champagne at a secluded spot in town, maybe a park, or perhaps a nice hotel or your own residence.

Italian Inn is not close to downtown FW. Go to the rooftop patio at Reata, which is actually downtown and then explore Sundance Square.

Head south on I45 about 25 min and hit the drive in for a double feature.

get a friend to have a cookout at their house and then play trivial pursuit or something (this is usually the sort of thing that works best for my GF)
ask her to run a 5K with you some saturday morning. there are activities before and after the big ones that make them pretty fun
rent a movie and buy a bottle of wine. get silly drunk at the house and then terrorize the neighborhood (this again, works surprisingly well for my gf... hahah)

make her a gift basket with off the wall stuff like her own personal scent from bath junkie, a head scratcher, some DVDs you know she hasn't seen but would love... just be sure to play up the sentimental factor
