I'm in Northeast Tarrant County and I'm looking for someone to help design an outdoor patio. We want the outdoor patio to have a roof and attach to the current house.

Any suggestions on designer/architect and a contractor?

Probably not what you're looking for but these guys - http://www.masseyswoodworks.com/ - offer an arbor with clear decking to keep the rain out. Looks alright but I would worry about the decking turning yellow, etc. Sorry about the large pic; I just posted it from their website.

If you're looking more for a gable (roof) than an arbor, I've got a neighbor that used a guy who was about 30% cheaper than everyone else and did great work. What you sacrifice is timeliness and good communication, so if you can tolerate them delaying the project and not showing up on time, and prefer to save on money, I can get their contact info.

btw - If you're going to drop coin on a separated gable with built-in fireplace, please get a new fence. Something doesn't add up in this pic...
