Yes, avoid all of them.

I just completed an almost six-figure remodel and the only problems I had were with electritions. The first guys had quality and price issues. I just wrapped up a dispute with the last one, and while there were no quality issues, this company tried to charge me 150% actual time and a 100% markup over Home Depot prices on materials.

You can use Angie's List, which will at least hopefully help with the quality issues.

I would call Greg Uribe. He added a breaker box to our house for a second a/c unit that was added and he did other minor things around the house.

I used Richardson Ready Electric to ground my office and drop some new lines in the garage. I was pretty happy with them.

Contractors are always expensive, but electricity scares the sh&7 out of me so I was willing to pay.
