So chick brought this up on another thread but it got no traction.

I loved Slam Bang Theatre when I was knee high to a grasshopper. Are chick and I the only ones who remember it?

I remember it, although vaguely. I was only about 4 or 5 when it went off the air, but you really don't have to be that old to get Three Stooges humor.

I remember when I was a kid, the routine was mom watched the noon news on channel 5, then there was the Cartoon Carnival, where they showed cartoons for 30 minutes or an hour. When it was over, I was forced against my will to take a 1 hour nap. In the afternoon, there was Slam Bang Theater.

Does anyone remember the Children's Hour on Sunday mornings? All I remember about that is they showed Davey and Goliath and they would read the Sunday comics.

What time frame are we talking about? I was born in 1970 and I don't remember this at all. I am too old or too young?

I do remember Slam Bang Theater, but only vaguely. I believe that the Three Stooges was a part of that, however.

BTW, I was born in '65

It was on channel 11 from sometime in the 50's til the early 70's.

Kids today with their transformers, et. al., have no idea what they're missing.

Yeah, Romper Room was what my parents suffered through instead of Barney.
