Still the best option in Austin. This place needs a proper Italian deli.

Its very good, the story is better. They called some place in NY and pretended to have food allergies 1 by 1 to figure out the recipe for the dressing https://www.austinmonthly.com/how-home-slices-italian-sub-became-an-unlikely-cult-classic/

Little Deli, Tiny Grocer, Pedrosos and All Day all have very respectable offerings. The Hunter's Club at Dai Due is a great non traditional version

Do they sell these at HomeSlice Pizza? Or do they have a different location that sells subs?

I've only had their pizza...but might need to try this.

Correct, they sell them at the pizza restaurants. If ordering to go, make sure to get the oil & vinegar on the side

Agreed. Definitely my favorite. I was skeptical when hearing all the reviews for years, then finally tried it.

Best Italian in town now, no doubt.

Fricanos was the best until they closed. Nothing could beat the spicy ainsworth.
