It's about 90 seconds from my house.

Was going to swing by yesterday but the line was 40+ out the door and drive through was 20+ deep. The guy working traffic control told me to reverse, get back on 620 and come in another way.

I reversed, got back on 620 and went to Starbucks.

Lol I understand it's one of two in Texas but I'm not doing all that for Canada.

I've had it before when I served with the Canadian Army. I'm going to wait until the hype dies!

I tried it at the airport in Toronto. I wasn't that impressed.

Of it's not better the Round Rock Donuts I'm a pass.

PS not one is better then RR

It's just the novelty of being new. Give it a second and it'll wear off.

I say that, but my son worked at RR Donuts and they were busy constantly, and they've been around forever

They have great whte cholate hot cholate but the rest is meh.

I went on Friday morning and whipped right through. Coffee is may favorite of the drive thru variety. Enjoy kid nostalgia.

Shipley's donuts are far superior to HEB's donuts. HEB kolaches are far superior to Shipley's kolaches.

We tried to go there yesterday. The lobby was closed and only the drive through was open. The double lane drive through was backed up to the point it blocked the cars in the parking lot from getting in and out. We ended up leaving.

This is how it works: Shipley's donuts & Round Rock donuts. There are no other choices.

I went to Tim's for the first time at 6am on Christmas Eve. The manager let me in and opened up the lobby.

It looks like he is a Houston guy and in town to train up the new employees and get the store up and running, which is pretty cool and how it should be done. (Other Texas Tim Horton's locations are in Houston).

My wife loved the Peppermint Mocha and said it way better than Starbucks. I had the sunrise drink and it was great. Kids and wife loved the Tim bits and Crueller.

Went again before work at 6:45 and no line. Got a breakfast burrito and it was pretty good! We will be long term customers here!

I'm from Houston and Shipley's sucks. There kolaches suck so bad. Donuts too.

My golden standard for Kolaches is The Czech Stop in West, TX

No argument on kolaches but just for grins I'd be curious what donuts you prefer vs Shipley's

Been faithful to RR for 30 years. It was a tradition when the kids were young to have donuts and pigs for birthday breakfasts.

I've learned that around here donut preferences definitely fall along RR vs Shipley's. As a Houston transplant (20+ years ago) I'm still a Shipley's guy all the way.

My Canadian friends have all told me it has gone downhill substantially in quality over the years.

It's now owned by Burger King so yeah.

KC Donuts on Brodie. My mainstay donut shop for years. My grooms cake was just a bunch of donuts from there put into a nice donut display.

Round Rock doughnuts they have a cedar park location as well.

RR glazed donuts are almost on par with Shipley's, but their chocolate donuts are trash.

Not all Shipley's are equal. The one off I-10 on the east side is great. Any Shipley's in Austin? They don't know how to make them right.
