I don't remember them being this bad ever in November. 5-10 minutes in the backyard at 4:30 and they're all over me. So much for that idea.

And no, no standing water around, I checked.

All about the heat. The cold will kill them. This above average hot fall is helping extend their season into overtime unfortunately.

There has to be a standing water source in the area. It's been super dry so there's a water leak or a vertical pipe sunk in the ground full of water or an empty bucket left out or something within a few hundred feet of your location churning them out. Probably on someone else's property
