Wife and I will be around Austin for a sister's wedding end of October.
We were thinking of hitting up Jesterking or some other breweries in the area.
How is the access to Uber around there?
Asking because I've been in some cities/suburbs where Uber was practically non-existent... or I could get a ride there, bur could get a ride back to the hotel.

Tons of ride share in Austin but it depends on what you mean by "around" as to how many options you will get.

You should have no issues. There's a ton of stuff over there (distilleries, wineries, etc.) so I'm sure it's a pretty popular pick up location.

Unless Uber has changed, scheduling a ride doesn't actually order an uber any differently or guarantee a ride. It just orders an uber at that time.

Went to a wedding in dripping springs 5-6 years ago. Had no problem getting an Uber from the downtown Austin hotel out there. Could not get one back to Austin that night, and had to hitch a ride. Jester king is a popular place, so I imagine you could have some luck there. I just want to put it out there that just cause you're 30ish minutes from downtown austin doesn't necessarily mean it's Uber friendly

I think you're likely to get an Uber on 290 or 71 as long as it's not some odd time like the middle of the night. The further you get from 290 or 71, the worse your odds will be. I doubt you're getting picked up form 12 Fox or Vista unless an Uber just happened to drop someone in the area.

It does schedule a ride when somone picks the ride up. If nobody picks it up, then you are correct.

Jester King isn't really the hill country. It's just part of the suburbs on the worst possible road to build a bunch of drinking establishments on.
