Traffic downtown is a mess.

Johnson has already said Biden's proposals about the Supreme Court
are dead on arrival (would require a constitutional amendment).
But here is the history...

Traffic had to have been brutal.

I sat on the tarmac for an hour. Least I got a cool picture of AF1

When was traffic bad? Mr. Diesel was around downtown and all over Austin most of the morning and didn't hit any traffic so we were kinda surprised .

Rush hour. Around I-35 and 71. Fun stuff.

Got into ABIA about 4:30 after flying all day. Saw Air Force on the tarmac when we landed. I groaned, as I live in Oak Hill past the Y and all highways except going out of town were at a standstill. Google Maps routed us out to 130 to 290 to 183 to Mopac to the Y and then finally onto 71. I had never driven that route before, and it took only 55 minutes to make that detour! Thanks Joe! This was reminiscent of when Presidents Obama and Clinton came to town, shutting down the roads all over Austin. I am trying to remember if a Republican president has ever come to Austin....

Trump absolutely has been here. But maybe that was post presidency?

IIRC Both Bushes came in. I do not recall if Reagan made a stop.

Yes, it was post presidency in May 2022.

I am grateful I work remotely 4 days a week and go into the office only on Wednesdays. Because I live in the West Campus area, I go to the 24 Hour Fitness at the Hancock Center. I noticed some traffic on Dean Keaton and just found an alternate route and still got to the 24 Hour Fitness Center in just 12 minutes.
