Anybody have any recommendations for new home/auto insurance in Austin? Just got my renewal notice from Farmers and they raised my rates 62%. I've had 2 claims in the past 5 years and both were for the same hail storm. I called them to discuss and they said, "Sorry, no increased coverage, just increased costs." I'm ready to make a move, so any recommendations would be great.

There has been several threads on RE and Business about dramatic increases in home insurance. Seems state wide. You can try Liere in CS. I refer to them. But you are probably going to shop it. Even Geico is seeing large increases.

I use Liere as well - I can tell you I also price quote out my home insurance just to check on what was given this year - across the board Home Owners Insurance has gone up - one because of valuations and two because of increased claims...

Supply Chain issues??? I joke because everything is supply chain these days.

Thanks everyone for all of the help. I completely understand that rates are going up. I don't mind it being 10% here or there, but I felt that a 60+% increase was their way of telling me they didn't want me as a customer anymore. Thanks again and I'll definitely be reaching out to Liere.

That's on roofing companies too for aggressively making that case. They'll work the system as much as they can.
