Coming into town for high school baseball championships on Wednesday and was hoping yall could suggest places to eat after the games for a large group. We may have as many as 25 people in the group. Thanks in advance for your help.

Any particular food type you're looking for? Casual, I assume? Are games at UFCU Disch-Falk Augie drank here Field or in Round Rock? If UFCU, I would suggest Scholz Garten unless you're looking for something specific.

I would definitely consider Scholz's and add Haymaker, a sports bar on Manor Rd. Our one attempt at Banger's in Rainey St. area was aborted due to crowds. I'm guessing you may have youngsters along so maybe Rainey wouldn't be the best locale.

Thanks. Does Scholz really close at 8 on Wednesday? Maybe go there before the game. I am looking at Rainey St spots. Youngest are high school students. Staying at the Fairmont.

If you are able to pile in a big van or Uber, Terry Black's is very good BBQ downtown off Barton Springs without the insane wait times you have to suffer at other places in Austin. You could get a big group in and out of there as long as you don't mind splitting up. Parking is miserable with multiple cars.

There are also a few good hole in the wall Mexican joints on the east side of 35 down 6th that you'd be able to do that with.

Not sure about Scholz closing time but would be a good pre-game choice. That university is out but you may have to share it with legislators.
