I used to go to Jaliscos on Rancier street in Killeen when I was stationed at Fort Hood. (Terrible street in Killeen, so it was good.)

Since moving down 35-S in September I have yet to find a new Mexican spot that hits the spot.

I like Barbacoa, tripas, Chilaquiles and occasionally just eggs, cheese and avocado tacos in a pinch.

Oh good chips and salsa for breakfast is a must.

Thanks guys!

Ricardo's in Hutto has awesome breakfast tacos. El Taquito Urbano in Pflugerville has my favorite al pastor, bistek, etc. but I haven't tried their breakfast tacos.

Heard good things about Veracruz All Natural (La Frontera area), although I haven't tried it myself yet.

I'm of mixed opinions on Ricardo's. They tend to be really greasy there since they heat up the tortillas and cheese on the grill.

Vera Cruz are some of my favorite tacos anywhere. So… yes, go there.

Veracruz is good. Lunas on 620 is good, different for sure. Taqueria Arandinas by RRHS is good as well.

I ordered Ubereats from Ricardo's a few days ago and there was zero grease. I missed the grease, but put enough sauce (green/red are both great here) to make up for it.

If they keep serving me these healthy tacos, I am going to cut them off my list.

Already some good recommendations mentioned.

I'd throw in little local food truck Taqueria Jaguar's. It's authentic and real deal. They off 79 in Round Rock.

If you want to drive a bit, there is a place in PF called JD Market off of Dessau. Very good ****, but they don't speak much English and the store can stink -- less stinky early -- before all the day laborers hit it up.

If you eat there enough you'll come to detest them when they are covered in grease on the outside and dripping through the foil and the bag.

They tease you along by giving you grease free tacos where everything is cooked just right about 1 out of 4 times. The other times you get greasy, cold potatoes, overgrilled cheese/tortilla, etc.

Not breakfast tacos - but has anyone tried the Waffle Love place off Gattis school?

My tacos were good this morning. Perfect chorizo and perfect bacon! I also thought it was funny when I went to order and Uber told me I was a top 5% customer of Ricardo's via their app.

Recuredo's in downtown RR. Next to Longhorn and Rocy's.

Juarez on Mays by Gino's isn't bad either...

also a good option http://rgeetexas.com/

Technically not in RR, but close to Veracruz - Ramos off 1325 is a great hole in the wall for breakfast tacos.

Agreed, hate that they closed their 183 and Burnet location.

Tio Dan/Puffy Taco is our go to for tacos. They used to be at 620/IH 35 across from First Texas Bank but that location had a fire and was torn down. They have moved and are now off Old Settlers just East of Mays.

Use to like El Charito, until my wife and I ate there and saw roaches crawling on the wall. I know this is normally a sign of quality TexMex, but I haven't been back since.
