I've been trying unsuccessfully for almost 3 months now to obtain a permit for a portable building our church is trying to put on our property in north Austin. I reached out to a city rep before I applied for anything to make sure I had what I needed but it turned out 3 weeks later there was a site review process I found out I needed to do. We did that and a month later found out there were more things missing. No one at the city can give you a precise process of what to do and what you need for permits so we're just wasting gobs of time here.

Is there a third party company that you can farm this task out to that actually knows what they're doing?

I've been working with Melissa for the past 15 years.

Without all of the details and you should be able to file a site plan exemption for it. If you need parking, plumbing etc, it will become more complicated.

Sounds like you need a Site Development Permit and a Building Permit.
